This was one of my favorite experiences of the year—the summer of ’24, circa July 28th, at the Baltimore 48-Hour Film Festival! It was such a fun and competitive way to get the creative juices flowing. Several teams are given different film categories and a one-liner, which must appear in the film. From there, we have just 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, and submit our film, all while staying true to the assigned genre and incorporating that single line of dialogue.

Our team drew the category “Superhero,” and the rest, as they say, is history… or should I say, “her story”? I absolutely loved the direction the writers took us in—creating a comedic mocumentary that exposed the falsehood of the patriarchy. Who needs a hero when you’ve got a SHEaro!

This was also a time of many firsts for me, including my first nomination for "Best Actor." A huge shoutout to Logan Van Guinne Jennings, who won Best Actress and absolutely deserved it! It seems our fates are intertwined, as Logan and I also co-starred in my very first theatrical production, the world premiere of “20/02,” written by Chloe and Kaylah Harvey. Logan is a force to be reckoned with—she commands the room, and I both love and thank her for her incredible energy.
